Automatic 15A 6V/12V Battery Charger and 3A Maintainer with Digital Status Display – Schumacher SC1280

An automatic battery charger combines rapid charging and storage maintenance for compatible 6V and 12V vehicle and marine batteries. Schumacher SC1280 supplies a 15A charge for 12V batteries, a 3A maintenance mode and a 2A setting for 6V batteries, supporting standard, AGM, gel and deep-cycle types.

Microprocessor control and automatic voltage detection choose the appropriate charging behavior, while the digital display shows battery voltage and charge percentage. After recovery, maintain mode helps keep a stored battery ready without continuous full-rate charging. Reverse-hookup protection prevents operation when the clamps are connected incorrectly. The selected package contains one charger and maintainer; a separate two-pack variant is also listed. This AC-powered unit charges and maintains installed batteries but does not function as a cordless jump starter. Follow battery ventilation and polarity guidance.
