Trailer Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve from 2-1/2 to 2 Inches – CURT 45405 Black Pack Options

Trailer hitch receiver reducer sleeve lets a standard 2 1/2-inch receiver accept accessories with a 2-inch shank. CURT 45405 inserts into the larger square opening when a compatible ball mount, cargo carrier or bike rack needs the smaller receiver size.

The high-strength carbon-steel sleeve has a black carbide powder coat that resists rust, chips and UV exposure. Single-, two- and six-sleeve packages are available, with each sleeve fitting an industry-standard 2 1/2-by-2 1/2-inch receiver and reducing it to 2 by 2 inches. A hitch pin is not included. Insert the sleeve, align its pin hole with the receiver and accessory, and secure all layers with a correctly rated pin or lock. The adapter adds no independent towing capacity; gross trailer and tongue weight remain limited by the lowest-rated hitch and towing component.
